Whether Jackson Arnold continues to lead the charge or true freshman Michael Hawkins Jr. steps up due to injury by season's end, the Sooners are in an enviable position.
Some in the Sooner fanbase are jumping the gun to promote Hawkins to QB1 immediately, citing his athleticism, escapability, and similar ability to Arnold in terms of arm strength and accuracy.
Jason, who been promoting Hawkins as -- at worst -- the heir apparent to Arnold, but believes the true freshman has the ability to be the next TRULY GREAT all-time Sooner quarterback, has stopped short of agreeing with people who think he should be the starter right now.
