Under second-year GM Jim Nagy and fifth-year head coach Brent Venables, the Sooners attacked the offseason with purpose. High school recruiting wins. Key retention pieces like Kip Lewis and Isaiah Sategna. Portal additions aimed directly at fixing a below-par 2025 offense. And a trio of new position coaches viewed by many as upgrades — even after two staffers were poached by NFL teams in Kansas City and Buffalo.
But the biggest storyline?
Possibly the almost entirely new linebacker corps outside of Lewis heading into SEC play.
