Forget the Lamborghini for soccer moms that Steve Sarkisian and Texas met Williams with at the airport in Austin, hoping to win over the former Freshman All-American and defensive anchor TCU rode to an appearance in the College Football Playoff National Championship game in 2023.
Never mind the bags of cash Mizzou fans and Tigers head coach Eli Drinkwitz keep telling everyone Missouri has at its disposal and is apparently willing to use if it will help build a national championship contender in Columbia -- especially when the football program hasn't even won a conference title since the days of prohibition.
Don't worry about the unlimited crawfish, beignets, or Mardi Gras parties LSU may have offered as a bonus enticement to all that cash Brian Kelly and Co. were more than prepared to drop in Williams' lap had he chosen Baton Rouge and the Bayou Bengals.
And lets not pretend that the real reason Williams wasn't interested in a potential LA homecoming to play for Lincoln Riley and USC was because the "ELITE, BlueBlood Trojans and their High-Finance Boosters weren't willing to pay the undisclosed asking price of the highest-ranked D-Line prospect of the Spring portal period.
It is ALL NONSENSE...
The TRUTH is that each and every school has the means to meet -- or exceed -- Williams' NIL cash commands, and they absolutely WOULD HAVE paid for Williams to clog up the middle of their team's defensive line.
