*Conference Title Out of Reach, But More Than Bedlam Pride Rides on Sooners Matchup With Oklahoma State*
This is a big weekend for the Oklahoma Sooners, and not just because little-brother Oklahoma State is coming to town. In attendance for the Bedlam Game will be a number of key OU recruits, some who have pledged to accept new coach Brent Venables' offer to play at the school like Denton Guyer quarterback Jackson Arnold, while others like 5-Star prospects David Hicks (Texas A&M Committed) and Peyton Bowen (slated to go to Notre Dame) -- just to name a couple -- coming on official visits to Norman with the Sooners staff hoping to change their minds about where to play their college football.
A win over the 7-3 Oklahoma State Cowboys could go a long way in making this happen, not to mention the fact that a win would secure bowl eligibility for OU and give Venables and staff 15 additional practices with the team before the offseason begins.
Yes, there is PLENTY for the Sooners to play for on Saturday, whatever naysayers may be spouting right now ...
