Jason and The Coach Dive Into the Implications of the Final Week of the College Football Regular Season, “Rivalry Week,” with serious implications on the line concerning the College Football Playoff in a number of the matchups around the country.
Drama continues to surround the tiebreaker scenarios in the Big 12 Conference, with league officials “clarifying” its tiebreaker rules for the second week in a row, while insisting there are no changes to the rules issued back in August prior to the season.
If that’s the case, why did the league need to “clarify” the rules, TWICE?

ALSO, - Oklahoma coach Brent Venables said on Tuesday that he expects starting quarterback Dillon Gabriel to be available for the Sooners’ home matchup with the TCU Horned Frogs Friday, just 6 days removed from what OU has termed an “upper-body injury.“
Those who watched the game believe Gabriel clearly sustained a concussion in the second quarter of Saturday’s game in Provo, Utah, when the back of his head bounced off the field at Lavell Edwards Stadium, prompting OU’s quarterback-of-the-future Jackson Arnold to be inserted in the second half. Gabriel would probably love to be able to play in the game, as an illegal hit by the Horned Frogs in Fort Worth a year ago knocked him out of the rest of OU’s loss to TCU, not to mention the Red River Shootout a week later, which the Sooners were pummeled in without a viable answer at quarterback backing Gabriel up.
Incidentally, Arnold’s appearance marked the fifth game of the season he has seen action in, meaning Oklahoma cannot use a redshirt season on the freshman, as most believed would happen coming into Week 12.
