Ole Miss Can Put Auburn Head Coach Out of His Misery; Penn State Enters Big House for Date With Michigan
With only one game left on Auburn football’s schedule before the 2022 bye week, many fans seem to believe that head coach Bryan Harsin could likely be coaching his last game as a Tiger this weekend in Oxford.
Auburn football is nowhere close to where folks hoped they would be at this point in the season, with a 3-3 record and only one SEC win under their belts over Missouri.
Most people believe that only a win over 9th-ranked and unbeaten Ole Miss on the road Saturday will save Harsin for another week or two. But around the University, the word is that the school’s new president, Chris Roberts, is rightly focused on filling the role of AD before tackling the football coach problem.
In other action around the Top 25 on Saturday, Lincoln Riley enters his first game as USC head coach in the underdog role as the Trojans head to Salt Lake City to face the Utah Utes in a pivotal Pac 12 matchup, and 10th-ranked Penn State hits road for Ann Arbor to face fifth-ranked Michigan in the Big House.
