The only thing that would have made it a better day for OU fans was Texas losing to Iowa State at home, which might have happened if not for a blown targeting call by officials against the Longhorns that resulted in a fumble by the Cyclones and a 24-21 win by Texas.
Even former Sooner quarterback and offensive coordinator Josh Heupel did his school proud, becoming the first Tennessee coach in 16 seasons to take out Alabama and Nick Saban.
