* Grant of Rights With ESPN Appears to Leave No Way Out for Florida State and Clemson*

On Tonight's LiveStream, Ty Hayes of @aroundthetablesports will join us as we dive back into conference realignment, as the Clemson Tigers joined ACC conference rival Florida State in calling for a higher percentage of the conference revenue split, and like the Seminoles pointed out that their program will not be able to keep up with their peers in the SEC and Big Ten Conference when those new media rights deals kick in after the 2023 season.
The ACC is currently locked into a 20-year Grant of Rights with ESPN/ABC for its conference's Tier 1 broadcast rights, but at a base per-team revenue share that is currently $17 million, more than $30 million less than the SEC's base revenue per team of $51 per season.
FSU at its Board of Regents meeting last Friday even spoke of the possibility of paying the $120 Million buyout to leave the conference, presumably to join either the SEC or Big 10. Clemson, winners of two College Football Playoffs under Dabo Swinney, said on Monday that it wanted a larger share as well, or it would be forced to seek an invitation to one of the true power leagues in the SEC or Big 10.
We'll talk about what you may expect to see happen between ESPN and the schools that generate not only the most revenue in the league, but have combined for 24 of the past 32 conference titles between them.
