*Receivers Holmes, Tease, and Harper Appear Put up Better Numbers Than New Bulldogs Commit*
There's no doubt concerning the big-play ability of Converse (Texas) Wideout Anthony Evans, nor the predicament his recruiting flip from Oklahoma to Georgia on Friday puts the Sooners staff as the 2023 college football recruiting cycle draws to a close.
OU and Offensive Coordinator Jeff Lebby's attack needs big-play weapons like Evans to put up the numbers Oklahoma has grown accustomed to in the high-flying Air Raid era.

The good news, once everyone stops to take a breath and realize there IS good news, is that there are weapons to be had, and in this episode of the Hall of Fame College Football Podcast, Jason Watkins will tell you about three players that may be even better than Evans overall, despite two of them being largely overlooked until the put up eye-popping numbers for their teams this season.
Oklahoma will certainly work to flip 4-Star wideout Micah Tease and keep the Tulsa product of Booker T. Washington HS in his home state rather than following through on his commitment to Arkansas.
But if the Sooners can't convince Tease to wear Crimson and Cream, and maybe even if they can, there are two under-the-radar recruits that will also likely bring more to the table than Evans did with his blazing speed.
Say Hello to Darian Holmes of San Antonio Warren High School, who lapped Evans in every statistical category playing in the same classification and in the same region, and who has begun to see his recruiting prospects change as he broke records at Warren and led the entire city in Receptions, Yards and Receiving Touchdowns.
There's also another local option for OU, too, and this one has more receiving yards than all but three players in the entire country, Noble (OK) High School senior Brandon Harper...
